What you'll do

Scala’s Environment
We run a High-Performance Computing Platform (HPC) on AWS and other cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud with many additional opensource technologies and middleware.  All our systems run in the Cloud so we always think cloud first!  Our sales pipeline is extremely strong as a Startup organization with contracts and proof-of-concepts with multi-billion dollar tier-1 companies in their respective vertical space.  We provide cloud platform services into extremely large enterprises that either create electronic products, need to simulate and test their internal data center infrastructure or simulate the most demanding data-intensive applications in many market verticals such as environment and weather forecasting.
 
About the Job
We are looking for strong Sales leader with an abundance of high energy who will be committed and aligned with the company’s growth plan.  We are looking for a leader who can get their hands dirty while building a successful team focused on the Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) market space by opening doors in enterprise class companies who develop product using CAE tools.  
 
 
Responsibilities

  • Prospecting / new prospect outreach
  • Attend industry events
  • Manage existing pipeline and drive closure
  • Become an evangelist for using High Performance Computing on the cloud.
  • Be a Customer Success lead and manage strategic accounts in the CAE collaboration platform use-space
  • Coordinate with digital marketing agencies with an eye on brand development.
  • Report directly to the COO and be a key contributor to Scala Sales Organization.


Skills & Requirements
Mandatory
:

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience selling SaaS or PaaS technology in the mid to large enterprise. 
  • 3 years of experience selling into companies who use CAE tools for product creation.
  • Track record of Y/Y double digit sales growth for the past 3 years.

Plusses:

  • Worked with and sold Cadence, Synopsis or Mentor CAE tools. 
  • Experience selling Cloud Platform Services
  • Capable of engaging with customers globally
  • Experience in High Performance Computing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Is a self-starter with a “can do” attitude who can take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Is detail and results oriented.
  • Has a fun personality, interest in start-up environments, and the desire to be a part of the next big thing.

  •     Be a Customer Success lead and manage strategic accounts in the Networking Simulation platform use-space
  •     Coordinate with digital marketing agencies with an eye on brand development.
  •     Report directly to the COO and be a key contributor to Scala Sales Organization.


Skills & Requirements

  •     Worked with and sold either Ethernet networking or storage equipment into large datacenter environments. 
  •     Experience selling Cloud Platform Services
  •     Capable of engaging with customers globally
  •     Experience in High Performance Computing
  •     Excellent communication skills
  •     Is a self-starter with a “can do” attitude who can take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  •     Is detail and results oriented.
  •     Has a fun personality, interest in start-up environments, and the desire to be a part of the next big thing.
